Lok Sabha proceedings today were adjourned fourth consecutive times, following uproar by Opposition members over several issues. Congress MP Manish Tewari has suggested that the Opposition mull over bringing a vote of a no-confidence motion against the NDA government as the stalemate in Parliament carries on over the issues including farmers' agitation, Pegasus tussle and COVID-19 mismanagement.

When the House met for the day in the morning, Opposition parties sought to raise diverse issues, including the Pegasus spyware controversy and began shouting slogans. Over Rs133 crore in taxpayer money has been lost on account of Parliament disruptions in the monsoon session, government sources said last month.

PM Modi has attacked the Congress, accusing it of not allowing the monsoon session of parliament to function, and asked BJP MPs to "expose the party before the public and the media". The Monsoon Session started on July 19 and is scheduled to continue till August 13, prior to Independence day.
