Ujjain: On Wednesday, the Lokayukta took a big action and attacked the two locations of Cooperative Inspector Nirmal Rai in Ujjain. Rai was blown away after seeing the team that reached home that morning. This team got documents of a plot, flat and land from here. With this, documents of assets worth crores have been found with more than 10 lakh cash, jewelry worth millions, bank locker, luxury car. The same team is likely to get more property from here.

Basant Shrivastava Lokayukta Inspector said that we had already received information from Cooperative Inspector Nirmal Rai about having a lot of unnamed property. After the investigation, two different teams raided Rai's house and son's office together on Wednesday morning. When the same team reached Rai's bungalow in Sethi Nagar, they were surprised to see its grandeur. The same bungalow was given a royal look. In search here, the team got Rs. 1.25 lakh cash from a cupboard, luxury car, four-wheeler, a flat in Indore, two plots, land documents, an office in the name of son, jewelry worth lakhs, two banks with two bank lockers. Accounts information was also received.

According to Srivastava, Rai was working as a cooperative inspector as well as a cooperative manager. With this, Rai, who was on the job in 1981, would have received close to 80 lakhs as salary from the government so far, but in the raid, many times more assets have been revealed. Speculations are being made to take action, in which information about black earnings of crores is likely to be revealed.
