In response to customer demand for affordable earbuds with excellent battery life, wearable company Urban recently launched the Urban Vibe Clip, featuring an open-ear design. We've had the opportunity to review these earbuds and have been using them for several days.

Priced under 2000 rupees, we set out to test the sound quality and battery life of these earbuds. Here’s our experience with the Urban Vibe Clip.

We received the earbuds in black, but they are also available in white. The charging case features the company’s name and a charging light. At the back, there's a USB Type-C port for fast charging. While the charging case isn't exactly compact, its unique design justifies its slightly larger size. Upon opening the case, the earbuds’ design impressed us, differing slightly from standard earbuds.

The earbuds themselves come in a clip shape with visible lights indicating they are charged. They feature a magnetic design, allowing them to stick together when brought close. Notably, they lack the usual soft silicone in-ear tips due to their unique design. Despite this, wearing the earbuds for hours to watch movies didn't cause any discomfort, which is a significant plus.

When we tested the audio quality of these 1999 rupee earbuds, we found them to offer decent sound quality for music and movies. However, the experience was notably better in low-latency mode during gaming. Overall, while not exceptional, the audio quality is above average.

Urban claims that these earbuds offer up to 50 hours of battery life (with the charging case) on a full charge. In our tests, they lasted for about 45 hours and 25 minutes, which, while slightly below the claim, is still impressive. The earbuds also offer up to 160 hours of standby time, though our tests showed around 147 hours—still commendable for the price. Charging time is claimed to be 1 to 2 hours, and our tests showed a full charge took approximately 1.5 hours. The charging speed and battery life did not disappoint.

Our verdict? The Urban Vibe Clip, priced at 1999 rupees, impressed us with its battery life, charging speed, and design. The sound quality is above average, although the lack of active noise cancellation is noticeable despite the earbuds featuring ENC support. Overall, for a budget of around 2000 rupees, these earbuds are a great choice for those seeking excellent battery backup.

The Urban Vibe Clip is priced at 1999 rupees and can be purchased from the company’s official website, gourban.in. The retail box includes the charging case, open-ear design earbuds, and a Type-C cable.
