Lucknow: Ordinance has been made in the last few days in UP regarding Love Jihad. According to the information received, UP Governor Anandi Ben has approved the prohibition against religious conversion conversion ordinance 2020 today. According to the information received recently, if the girl's religion changes from today only for marriage in UP, not only will such marriage be declared invalid, but those who convert will also face a jail term for ten years.

According to the new ordinance, forceful, lying, greed or any other fraudulent way or conversion for marriage will be a non-bailable offence in Uttar Pradesh. Now, the Yogi government will deal with love Jihad strictly. Indeed, the Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission submitted a report to Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi last year. In it, it was suggested to enact a new law to prevent incidents of forced conversions.

It was also said in the report that the legal provisions that are present are not enough to check conversion and a new law is needed on this serious issue like some other states. By the way, let us also tell you that in addition to UP, many other states are also being asked to make laws regarding love jihad.
