The prestigious list of 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world has been released by the BBC. Among the 100, four Indian Women were highlighted as the people "leading change and making a difference during these turbulent times," according to the BBC tweet. Indian womens who secured a place in the list are Uttarakhand-based youth climate activist Ridhima Pandey, Bilkis Bano from Delhi, Manasi Joshi Badminton player, and Gaana singer Isaivani. 

Ridhima is a climate activist who, at the age of nine, filed a petition against the Government of India in response to its inaction to mitigate climate change. In 2019, along with 15 other child petitioners, Ridhima filed a lawsuit against five countries at the UN. Right now she is 12 years old and is one of the team of 16 children participated at the UN climate Action Summit last year. Ridhima requested PM to speak about air pollution in his Mann Ki Baat and to declare it a public health emergency and she mentioned her worst nightmare was going to school with an oxygen cylinder. 

The eighty-two-year-old Bilkis Bano, highly recognized as one of the many peaceful women  protesters against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh last year. Manasi Joshi, was recognized for being a "change maker". Joshi is currently ranked world number two in the SL3 (standing/lower limb impairment/minor) by the Badminton World Federation in June this year lost her leg in a road accident in 2011. Gaana singer Isaivani part of India’s largest ensemble political ban 'The Casteless Collective', band providing awareness against oppression or inequality through its music. Finland's all-female coalition government lead,Sanna Marin,  Michelle Yeoh, star of the new Avatar and Marvel films and Sarah Gilbert, the head of Oxford University research into a coronavirus vaccine, and Jane Fonda, a climate activist and actress are few among the women's in the list.
