Chief Minister disburses Rs 150-cr loan to women of self-help groups

In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed bank loans worth Rs 150 crore to the members of self-help groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission today in order of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh.

The disbursed a loan of Rs 150 crore to women self-help groups was done through virtual conferencing from Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the resolve of self-dependent Madhya Pradesh is being fulfilled by the involvement of women of self-help groups in economic activities. Women of Self Help Groups are getting the opportunity to become self-dependent through the State Government and Livelihood Mission due to which the resolve of the self-reliant state government of Madhya Pradesh is being fulfilled. State Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development Manoj Shrivastava, CEO Aajeevika Mission Belwal were present on the occasion.

Earlier, on September 20 too, Rs 150 crore was disbursed to the groups in the form of bank loan.  So far, financial assistance in the form of bank loan of Rs 1,865 crore has been reportedly provided to more than 33 lakh rural poor families through Livelihood Mission by connecting them to more than 3 lakh self-help groups.
