‘Low standards’, Amid Pathaan release Kangana Ranaut says Industry project success by flashing currency digits

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan hit the theatre screen today and there are projections of its Blockbuster. Even the advance booking figures are also very big. Amid its release Kangana Ranaut take an indirect dig of Pathaan movie.  The actress slams industry for flashing big figures to make a movie earn more.

Kangana  took to the social media and wrote, “Film industry is so crass and crude that whenever they want to project success of any endeavour/creation/art they throw flashing currency digits in your face, as if art has no other purpose.. it exposes their lowly standards and the kind of deprived lives they live.”

The actress added , “Primitively art blossomed in temples and reached literature/theatres and eventually inside cinemas. It is an industry but not designed for major economic gains like other billion/trillion dollar businesses, that’s why art/artists are worshipped not industrialists or billionaires.” She further added, “So even if artists indulge in polluting the very fibre of art and culture in the nation they must do it discreetly not shamelessly…”

On the work front, Kangana is all set for Emergency, It is the biography of formal Prime Minister, Kangana Ranaut has earlier revealed the first looks of several characters in Emergency. In the film, Kangana will play the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, while Shreyas Talpade will essay the role of late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Anupam will play revolutionary leader J P Narayan and Mahima Chaudhry will be seen as a cultural activist and Indira Gandhi’s confidante Pupul Jayakar.
