For the last two months, prices had been falling continuously. Non-subsidized gas cylinders have become expensive by about Rs 16 in the metro cities. The price of 14.2 kg gas cylinder has reached Rs 590 in Delhi.
On the other hand, in Calcutta the capital of West Bengal, this gas cylinder is being sold in Calcutta for Rs 616.50. The price of cylinder is Rs 562 in Mumbai and Rs 606.50 in Chennai. At the same time, the price of 19 kg cylinder has been increased to Rs 1054.50 in Delhi, Rs 1114.50 in Kolkata, Rs 1008.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1174.50 in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
Earlier in August, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder without subsidy was Rs 574.50 in Delhi, Rs 601 in Kolkata, Rs 546.50 in Mumbai and Rs 590.50 in Chennai. If we talk about the 19 kg cylinder, its price in August was Rs 1004 in Delhi, Rs 1063.50 in Kolkata, Rs 958 in Mumbai and Rs 1123 in Chennai. With this, CNG prices have also been increased in many areas of Delhi NCR.
