On Thursday, New Delhi Municipal Council members were sworn in by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal. As a member of the Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the Lieutenant Governor administered the oath to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and area MP Meenakshi Lekhi.

According to media reports, Anil Baijal administered the oath to Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Dev as the chairman of the Municipal Council of Delhi. Members of the newly formed MLA Surendra Singh, Additional Secretary Govind Mohan, Joint Secretary Nandita Gupta, Manisha Saxena, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and IAS Vikas Anand have also been made members of NDMC.

Apart from this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today described his government's two-and-a-half-year tenure as good governance in front of the media today, while Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has taunted his government. Akhilesh Yadav told the media at the Samajwadi Party office that the Yogi Adityanath government has not been able to run even for two and a half years. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has questioned the functioning of the Yogi Adityanath government and the report card of the government. The SP supremo said that the Uttar Pradesh government is celebrating all its lies. We felt that the government of double engine would work more.
