Lucknow: In preparation for Christmas and New Year celebrations, Lucknow has implemented Section 144, effective from December 24 to January 2, aiming to maintain peace and law and order in the city. Special advisories have been issued for bars, malls, restaurants, and hotels, with restrictions on the number of people allowed entry. Operators and managers are tasked with displaying notices related to these restrictions and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities have been outlined for operators and managers, who will be held accountable for maintaining order. The Police Commissionerate has instructed Deputy Commissioners of Police and Jones to conduct seminars with relevant stakeholders to disseminate information about the imposed orders.

According to the reports, The directive emphasizes setting a maximum capacity for events, whether held indoors or outdoors, and strictly adhering to it. Organizers and managers of various establishments, including hotels, malls, bars, and restaurants, are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that the sound intensity of loudspeakers complies with prescribed standards to prevent inconvenience to the public.

Bar operators are explicitly directed to adhere to the conditions of their licenses, both permanent and temporary, and operate within the prescribed time limits. Violations of Section 144 will result in appropriate action against the offenders.
