Lucknow: The President and several officials of the Hindu Samaj Party, who were going from Lucknow to Ayodhya to attend the Ram Temple Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya, were detained by the police in Kaiserbagh on Tuesday. According to the police, these leaders were not invited. ACP Kaiserbagh IP Singh said in his statement, Kiran Kamlesh Tiwari, National President of Hindu Samaj Party, General Secretary Rajesh Mani Tripathi along with many other post officers were leaving for Ayodhya on Tuesday afternoon.

Hindu Samaj Party leaders were taken into custody by the police officers at Kaiserbagh. After that, everyone was persuaded and sent back home. According to National General Secretary Rajesh Mani Tripathi, Yogi Saroj Nath was taken into custody a day earlier. Uttar Pradesh in-charge Gaurav Verma was placed under house arrest on Tuesday. However, the police have categorically denied this.

Meanwhile, 39 people including 10 police personnel were found corona infected in Siddharthnagar district of the state on Wednesday. A person resident of the district undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Lucknow died of corona infection. On Wednesday, as soon as 39 people were confirmed infected in the report from Gorakhpur Medical College, all were admitted by the Health Department team to the isolation ward at the Women's Hospital. So far 931 infected have been found in the district. Of these, 581 people have gone home healthy after treatment. 338 people are under treatment and 13 people have died so far.
