Lucknow: The Lucknow Police has arrested a robber Aslam. Aslam is a Bangladeshi infiltrator who was involved in several crimes in India. The gang of criminals used to hide along the railway line and do reiki┬аof people's houses during the day and carry out robberies at night. Police are currently searching for Nasir, Noor Islam, Suman, and other Bangladeshis named Shaheen, who is involved in Aslam's gang. Apart from the Aadhaar card, a health card and a Covid vaccination certificate have also been recovered from Aslam. The arrest was made on Saturday (January 14).

According to the information given by Lucknow Police, there are about 12 robbers in Aslam's gang. They used to plot in old houses located next to the railway line. During the day, they used to do reiki at a house or shop and choose to carry out the incident there. At night, they used to run away by ransacking together and looting there. During this time, the owner of the house or shop was held hostage and even assaulted and raped. Police have also said that Aslam and other members of his gang used to change their place by traveling not only by trains like Shatabdi and Rajdhani but also by flights. ┬а

According to Lucknow police, during the train journey, Aslam's gang used to split into some parts and stay at the stations that fall in between. Here these people used to set their targets. After the robbery, these people used to gather again at some place. During interrogation, Aslam told the police that he had come to meet his colleagues named Rabiul and Bilal imprisoned in Lucknow jail. According to the report, Aslam had come to arrange bail for both of them. After failing to meet them in jail, he was looking for a place to stay in Lucknow's Chinhat area but was finally caught by the police.

Aslam said that the robbers have spent the looted money. Aslam's father is a Muslim Khan and is a resident of the Bursal district of Bangladesh. During the search, the police recovered a labor card, an Aadhaar card, a health card, a corona vaccination certificate, and Rs 2,174 cash. In 2020, Aslam was booked for robbery in Lucknow, and in 2021 for an attempt to murder under the Foreign Citizenship Act. So far, some 8 cases have been registered against Aslam, including Varanasi and Lucknow.
