Lucknow: A strange case has come to light at Lucknow University in Uttar Pradesh. Actually, a young man had asked for some information from Lucknow University under Right to Information (RTI). The university did not give information to the young man, but asked him for proof of being a citizen of India. According to the information, RTI activist Azhar Hussain filed a complaint on January 28.

He had sought information about advertisements and admissions for PHD since 2009 in Lucknow University. During this time, they have expressed the possibility of major disturbances. It was also said that even after the end of admission in PHD, the favorites were admitted. Instead of giving information, the university sent a letter to Azhar asking him to give a certificate of being a citizen of India.

According to Azhar, Lucknow University administration is also not ready to tell which document will have to be given to prove citizenship. Let us tell you that these days, there are protests in many areas across the country regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Citizenship Register (NRC). In this case, this case can serve to give further air to the dispute.
