In fact, at the end of 2018, Javier Bettel was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Luxembourg. Earlier during the election campaign, he announced that he will make public transport free. According to a report, this decision will benefit about six lakh residents of Luxembourg, 1,75,000 cross-border laborers and 1.2 million tourists visiting here annually. In Luxembourg, more than 60 percent of people use their cars to go to the office. Only 19 percent of people use the means of public transport.
