On my fresh holiday I discover little Vegas in china. I really feel that Macau is the liveliest city I have ever seen. Undoubtedly this city imprints its position and become the famous tourist destination in the world. This city successfully maintains its international foray with world class grand gigantic hotels and massive casinos.    Macau is also among the richest region in Asia because it has become one of the world’s largest gambling centres. It is also a town filled with colourful Portuguese architecture with traditional Chinese culture.  Even when I walked down to the city some of the area and streets gave me the feel of southern Europe. This city is a unique blend of east and west. Certainly Macau became the epitome of Richness and luxury.

Galaxy and Venetian Hotels

We reached Macau from Hong Kong by water jet ferry. We took shuttle service to reach our hotel Galaxy.  Resorts such as Galaxy and Venetian provide travellers free shuttle bus services.  As I entered the hotel it was looking so grand and the fountain show inside the lobby is exceptionally good that every guest starts recordings as soon as they enter the hotel.  J W Marriot and Banyan Tree are also the parts of the hotel. In J W Marriot they have very nice kids zone and in banyan tree they have spa which takes a holistic approach to physical and spiritual well being, providing massage treatments which are based on evolving techniques that passed through the hands of many generation.  Swimming pool area is amazing as they have heated pool, jacuzzi and wave pool as well.   Our room was on 30th floor with breath taking view equipped with mini bar and coffee machine. Moltan Brown toiletry was cheery on  top.

 Gondola Ride

After enjoying our room and lobby we went to Venetian Hotel to take the experience of the amazing and romantic Gondola ride, while taking the ride our Gondola man started singing a beautiful song. The artificial sky and beautiful Gondola suddenly transports you to somewhere in Venice. A Gondola trip along the canal, together with luxurious shops on the riverbanks such as Bvlgari, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, which offer prestigious clothing, jewellery and gifts which gives a diversified shopping experience to visitors.  In the evening we took a round to the city where we surprised to see the Eiffel Tower with glittering lights. One of the Hotel named Parisian has created the ditto copy of the Eiffel Tower. Cold breeze and the lights on the tower give you the amorous feeling of Paris.

Old Macau

After that we came back to our hotel and enjoyed all the luxuries of the hotel room. Heated swimming pool, jacuzii and wave pool gives great relaxation. On the second day morning we decided to discover old Macau. For that we hired a taxi from the hotel lobby. Actually Macau has been an important gateway through which western civilization entered China. If you love old Rome architecture then you must pay a visit to this place, our first point was Ruins of st.paul’s, it caught fire in 1595 and again in 1601. Afterwards, the Jesuits reconstructed. The whole facade has been acknowledged as a perfect fusion of western and eastern cultures. Second stop was St. Dominic’s Church. This is again a beautiful yellow church with a museum in it. It was founded in 1587 by three Spanish Dominican priests. The church is dedicated to our lady of the Rosary and was built of wooden boards originally. Church is a three storey bell tower, which houses the Treasure of Sacred Art.  It has small museum with great collection of around 300 relics and artefacts.

Macau Museum:

It is a historical and cultural museum located in the Mount Fortress. Built on the top of the Mount hill, the Mount fortress offers a panoramic view of the city. It consists of two underground levels and the third one fortress’ top platform where the old Meteorological services housed. The Museum gives you vast number of object of great historical value, which reveal the way of life and cultures of the various communities which have been inhabited the city for ages. This is a must visit place for art and history lovers.

After seeing so many things we took a small break and went to a coffee shop near the museum where we had the authentic Greek salad and mouth-watering club sandwich.  Our next destination was Senado Square. It is situated in the centre of the city. The square stands a fountain which was surrounded by pastel coloured neo-classical buildings, creating a beautiful and harmonious Mediterranean atmosphere.  The Square is paved with Portuguese beautiful cobblestones. This is again a splendid blend of Chinese and Portuguese culture traits. Just upfront the fountain we got another and important attraction leal senado building which was built at the end of the 16th century and known as the Senate and Municipal Council, it was Macao’s first municipal chamber.  This building is also in neo classical design and has retained all its original master walls and primary layout, including the Portuguese courtyard garden in the back. Simultaneously many historical stones inscriptions and carving on wall will tell the stories of its past.

Amusement Parks

After such a long day we were not ready to walk any more so we decided to go Studio City Hotel. This Hotel has Warner Bros Fun zone where my son enjoyed the amazing rides and got the chance to interact with his favourite cartoon movie characters and super heros. After this we all went to 4 d Adventure with Gotham city’s Hero. This was really an amazing experience not only for my kid but for me also. Here you feel the pulse racing adventure on the first Batman Flight simulation ride of Dc comics.

It was getting dark and this is the time to explore the night life of Macau. I must say Macau never sleeps. All the time you can see that the visitors are busy in shopping or in Casinos. Almost all the hotels have grand Casinos. If you love casino then Macau is a right place for you. Get ready to play with luck and fate. Personally I am not very fond of gambling so rather than playing I start observing people. I was very surprised and shocked to see the passion of gambling. I can say that it is like an addiction. If you a winning the game you can stay there for whole night and if luck is not on your side it’s better to leave as early as possible. It is like a roller coaster ride of mind because when your money evolves you become more serious. The whole scenario and atmosphere gives you extremely thrilling experience.

In this summer vacation you should also plan short trip to glamorous Macau. This city has everything like world class hotels, extravagant brands and Michelin star rated restaurants with combining premier entertainment facilities and dining services.  Holiday restro, cultural centre, entertainment city, historic town and dining paradise truly makes this place an international tourist destination.
