Court rejects bail plea of Pappu Yadav in kidnapping case

Patna: The Madhepura Sessions Court on Tuesday morning refused bail to Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, national president former MP of the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), who was arrested in a 32-year-old kidnapping case. The district judge gave his verdict in the afternoon while holding a virtual hearing.

He had earlier reserved his decision for nearly two hours. In the afternoon, the district judge ruled that Papyu Yadav's plea was rejected. Meanwhile, Pappu Yadav's lawyers defended themselves on bail, but the court refused. Let us tell you that Pappu Yadav was arrested from Patna on May 11. Pappu Yadav has just been admitted to Darbhanga DMCH for treatment.

On the morning of May 11, police from Budha Colony police station had reached Pappu Yadav's house in North Mandri, Patna. Police had said that Pappu Yadav, who was constantly violating lockdown rules, was warned. Pappu Yadav was then brought to Gandhi Maidan police station in Patna where he was kept seated for a long time. Covid test was also examined in which his report was negative. Shortly thereafter, it was reported that Pappu Yadav had been arrested in a 32-year-old kidnapping case.
