Indore: DRI's Indore unit has recovered gold biscuits worth crores of rupees. Actually, it is being told that the weight of these recovered gold biscuits is about 6.9 kg, and the value of these is said to be 3 crores 18 lakh rupees. In fact, the DRI's Indore team got information yesterday that '2 people are coming to Indore for smuggling gold in a Creta car'. After getting this information, the DRI team stopped a suspected Creta car by laying a trap on the Dhar-Indore highway. During the search of the car, 69 gold biscuits have been found. The weight of each of these is said to be 100 grams. All these were being brought under the seat by making a cavity.

It is being said that both the people in the car have confessed to smuggling. According to reports, the chief financier and the buyer have also been arrested from Indore on his spot. In this case, the three accused have been produced before the court and sent to judicial custody. It is said that gold and car have been seized under the Customs Act, 1962.

Earlier on Sunday, 5.55 kg of gold worth 2.53 crore was seized from six aircraft passengers from Dubai, hidden in a wig, at Chennai airport. During that time the customs officials had said, "In addition to gold, foreign currencies worth Rs 24 lakh were also seized." He had said that the postures were also hidden under the wig. Apart from this, he was also told that all these six people are from Tamil Nadu. The passengers have been arrested.
