Bhopal: The highest rainfall is wreaking havoc. As landslides are taking place in the mountains, there are cases of waterlogging and road collapse on the roads in the districts. This rain is proving to be a disaster for the villages. In Madhya Pradesh, a raw house collapsed due to the highest rainfall in Rewa. On August 1, a raw house collapsed in Ghuchiari Behera village of Rewa district, killing 4 persons from the same family after being buried in its debris.
According to reports, the accident took place at Gram Panchayat Ghuchiari Behera in the Garh police station area of Rewa district. Manoj Pandey is said to have lived with his mother and children in his raw house in Ghuchiari Behera village. It was raining heavily on Sunday morning. All the people were in their homes due to heavy rains. Manoj Pandey was also at home with his mother and children.
There was a sudden loud noise amidst heavy rain. Hearing the loud noise, the villagers left the house and ran in the direction from where the sound had come. Manoj Pandey's house was lying down when people reached the spot. The residents immediately handed over the report to the administration and started rescue operations in a hurry. Residents rescued five persons including 35-year-old Manoj Pandey and his mother from the debris. Manoj Pandey, his mother, 60-year-old Kemali Pandey, 8-year-old Kajal, and 7-year-old Aanchal died on the occasion while Shrejal was seriously injured.
