In Madhya Pradesh, the second wave of corona is becoming out of control. A record 4882 new cases have been found in the last 24 hours. It is expected that by Saturday, this figure may cross 5000. The death toll in the state has gone up to 4136. The number of active patients in the state has increased to 30,486.

There is a need to take more precautions like this, because the beds in the hospitals are not empty although the government is arranging 50,000 extra beds. The state's infection rate has reached more than 13%, which according to the World Health Organization (WHO) should not be more than 5%.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a meeting of Chief Ministers last day that the RT-PCR test should be increased and 30 contact tracing is needed in 72 hours. In MP, 70% is RT-PCR and 30% of antigens are being tested, but contact tracing is not upto the mark.

Similarly, it is taking 3 to 4 days for a sample report to be received. Explaining that in order to control the pace of corona in the state, a complete lockdown has been done in all the urban areas of the state on Saturday and Sunday. Apart from this, the cantonment zones are also being built in big cities. A 9-day lockdown has been declared in Kolar area and Berasia in Bhopal.

Experts believe that strict prohibitions need to be implemented in areas where the infection is more widespread. According to the Health Department report, on April 8, the number of active patients in the state has gone up to 30, 486. There were 3097 active cases in the state on 2 March.

Reportedly, only four districts, Sheopur, Niwari, Morena and Chhatarpur, are currently under corona control. The government has now stepped up the task of increasing the number of beds in hospitals. CM had said on Thursday that the number of beds in hospitals will be increased to one lakh.
