Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav’s Father Passes Away at 100 in Ujjain

Poonamchand Yadav, the father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, passed away on Tuesday evening in Ujjain after a prolonged battle with age-related ailments. He was 100 years old and had been receiving treatment at SN Krishna Hospital in Ujjain.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who was attending a BJP membership drive event in Bhopal, immediately left for Ujjain upon receiving the sad news.

MP BJP media in-charge Ashish Agrawal shared the news on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), expressing his condolences. "Received the sad news of the demise of Shri Poonamchand Yadav, respected father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. I pray to Baba Mahakal to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family. Om Shanti," Agrawal posted.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had visited Poonamchand Yadav in the hospital just two days prior, also expressed his sorrow, saying, "Received the sad news of the demise of Shri Poonamchand Yadav ji, father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri @DrMohanYadav51 ji."

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh also conveyed his condolences, stating, "The news of the demise of Shri Poonamchand Yadav, father of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is deeply saddening. May God grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the family in this hour of grief. Humble tribute. Om Shanti."
