Indore: After Uttarakhand and Gujarat, now 'Uniform Civil Code' (UCC) is going to be implemented in Madhya Pradesh too. This was announced by state CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Thursday (December 1) and he said that the state government will form a committee for this. CM Shivraj said that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) must now be implemented in the entire country.

According to the report, speaking at a rally held in Sendhwa of Barwani, CM Shivraj said, ''I have come to awake everyone. Married daughter and took the land. Why more than one marriage? Why two legislations in one country? The rule should be the same. Therefore, now UCC must be implemented in the entire country.'' CM Shivraj further said that the BJP government in the state is forming a committee for this. He said that if a wife has the right in the UCC, it should apply equally to all. Earlier, Uttarakhand and Gujarat have also announced setting up a committee in this regard. In Uttarakhand, its final draft is preparing. This information was given by the state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami himself.

At the same time, the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh had recently announced the implementation of the PESA law to prevent second-third marriage and conversion from forest dweller women in the state. In this, the gram sabha of the forest dweller community has been strengthened. Regarding the PESA law, CM Chouhan had said, 'Many times by deception, deceit, our tribal sisters and daughters are lured and married, the land is given in their name and it is called tribal land. Sometimes the conversion is also used. Now we will not allow this to happen in Madhya Pradesh.'
