Religious freedom ordinance will be issued in Madhya Pradesh today

Bhopal: On the lines of Uttar Pradesh, the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is also preparing to enact a law against Love Jihad. The forcible conversion with this law will result in severe punishment for those who marry. It is being said that due to the introduction of this law, those who forcefully convert and marry will be punished for a maximum period of 10 years and there will be a provision for a fine of one lakh rupees. According to reports, a cabinet meeting is going to be held in Madhya Pradesh today to approve it.

Also, the Shivraj Cabinet has approved the Religious Freedom Bill 2020 on 26 December 2020. Actually, this law is working to prevent forcible conversion. After approving it, Shivraj had said, 'We will not let anyone in Madhya Pradesh be forced to convert to entice, intimidate, deceive or confuse. We have made the 1968 law more effective and strict.

Now that the Shivraj government is ready to implement the Freedom of Religion Act -2020 through an ordinance to stop Love Jihad. Due to the postponement of the winter session of the proposed Legislative Assembly from last Monday, it has been decided that important bills will be implemented by bringing an ordinance. Today i.e. on Tuesday, it will be proposed in the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
