"Liquor shops will remain close till this date" MP Government orders

On Saturday, the Madhya Pradesh government has issued a new order asking owners of liquor shops to keep their shops closed during the lockdown across the country. Due to Coronavirus, lockdown orders have been issued in the whole country till 14 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has announced this.

Apart from this, according to officials in the Madhya Pradesh government, the state government has also ordered the cinema halls in the state to be closed till 14 April. The government had earlier ordered that the cinema hall be kept closed till 31 March as a preventive measure to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus. On Friday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had instructed the officers to order liquor shops to be closed during the lockdown. So far 33 cases of covid-19 have come in Madhya Pradesh.

A case has surfaced in Hyderabad, where the police said on Saturday that a 50-year-old daily wage labourer allegedly committed suicide because he could not get alcohol during the Coronavirus lockdown. Police said that a man named P Madhu jumped from a government residential building and committed suicide. This alcoholic was employed as a laborer in the film industry.
