The Madhya Pradesh government On Wednesday passed a resolution against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and urged the Center to withdraw it. In this case, another blow to BJP has been given by BJP leader Ajit Borasi of Madhya Pradesh. A few days ago, BJP MLA from Maihar Narayan Tripathi also made a statement against the CAA. After the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Public Relations Minister PC Sharma said that the law violates the right to equality and secularism.

Minister PC Sharma said that everyone has the right to equality. The constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar was tampered. Sharma said that a resolution has been passed in the cabinet opposing this law. The new law is against the basic spirit and character of the constitution as well as the tolerance inherent in our society, hence the Madhya Pradesh government requests the Center to repeal the CAA 2019. The state government also requests that the Center carry forward the census exercise only after withdrawing the information from the National Census Register (NPR), which has raised apprehension among the people.

Meanwhile, Ajit Borsi, son of former Congress MP Premchand Guddu, who contested the last assembly election on BJP ticket from Ujjain's Alot, wrote on his Facebook wall, 'I am not a sheep who can follow the wrong '. He has termed CAA-NRC as harmful for Muslims as well as SC, ST, OBC. Before Madhya Pradesh, five other non-BJP ruled states including Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh have taken a similar stand against CAA. Proposals are passed. There is a difference of opinion in this matter within the BJP in Madhya Pradesh. Many activists of the minority front have resigned on this issue. Also, BJP MLA from Maihar Narayan Tripathi has described it as dangerous for the country.
