Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has also made a law against Love Jihad. In Madhya Pradesh, it has been approved by the Shivraj cabinet. There are 19 provisions in the new law of Madhya Pradesh. Talking to a private news channel, Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that we have made the country's largest law in Madhya Pradesh. He said that Maulana, Maulvi or priest will get married by changing religion, they will also be entitled to punishment.

Narottam Mishra said that this law provides for a jail term of up to 10 years. The registration of organizations that encourage such weddings will be cancelled. If the priest or maulvi found guilty, there is a provision of punishment in the new law for them. He said that such a forced marriage would be considered void. Even after such a marriage is declared void, if the mother and her children have any child, then she will also be considered as entitled in the ancestral property.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra further said that such a case will be investigated by an officer of rank of SHO or above. In the Freedom of Religion Bill 2020, three slabs of fine amounting to 25 and 50 thousand, one lakh rupees have been provided.
