Gwalior: Triple talaq cases have come to light in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The victim has lodged a complaint at the police station, stating that first the husband gave her triple talaq and later agreed to keep her, but put the condition of getting halala with her father-in-law. On the victim's complaint, the Gwalior Women's Police has registered a case against the husband under the Muslim Women's Dispute Protection Act. Father-in-law and brother-in-law have also been accused of molestation.
Younger sister's husband stabbed teacher to death, investigation underway
The 26-year-old woman has said that she was married to Adil Khan of Sipri Bazar, Jhansi on April 12, 2016, four years ago. It is alleged that from the day Adil came home after marriage, he used to drink alcohol and come home. A year later of marriage they had a son. The woman has alleged that father-in-law Azad Khan and brother-in-law Abid Khan used to tamper with wrong motives. When she told this to the husband, he questioned the character of the wife and called her characterless. After this, she was tortured at her in-laws and demanded a car in dowry.

The woman has said that husband Adil pressures her to have a relationship with her father-in-law. When the woman refused to obey her husband, she and her two-and-a-half-year-old son were thrown out of the house. The woman was living in her maternal home in Gwalior for the last four months. Meanwhile, when the woman complained to the police about the case, the husband got upset and came to Gwalior on 26 December and threatened her to withdraw the case. During this time the husband also divorced her. Police are currently investigating the case.
