New Delhi: A western disturbance continues over Jammu and Kashmir and the surrounding area, due to which cold and dry winds are blowing from the northwest direction in the plains. According to the weather forecast, during the coming 24 hours, light rain and snow are likely to occur in the upper reaches of Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
Cold wave conditions continue to wreak havoc in Punjab, southern parts of western Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. With this, cold wave conditions are expected to increase in isolated places over Uttarakhand, Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours. In the country's capital Delhi, the minimum temperature is expected to be 8 degrees Celsius today (Monday) i.e. January 31. The maximum temperature is likely to be 23 degrees Celsius. Cold day conditions will continue in Delhi due to strong winds.
In Madhya Pradesh, the minimum temperature has also recorded a decline. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert with a cold wave warning in many districts. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), today's minimum temperature in the state capital Bhopal is expected to be 10 degrees Celsius. While the maximum temperature is likely to remain at 27 degrees Celsius. There will be fog in Bhopal throughout the day today.
