New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament begins today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey 2021-2022 today. The Economic Survey, which will be presented a day before the General Budget, will reveal how the Indian economy has performed in the current financial year and how it is expected to perform in the next financial year. 

According to various experts, the Finance Ministry is likely to predict an economic growth rate of around 9 per cent for the next financial year (2022-23). The Economic Survey will take a look at the performance of the Indian economy in the last 12 months. Presenting the Economic Survey before the Union Budget has been an old tradition in the country. The Economic Survey 2021-22 is also likely to provide a detailed assessment of the impact of the Corona pandemic on the Indian economy. On February 1, Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the next financial year.

The Finance Ministry will forecast an economic growth rate of 9 per cent for the upcoming financial year (2022-23). The World Bank, in its recent report, said india's economy is likely to grow at 8.7 per cent. Due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic and the nationwide lockdown, the Indian economy has registered a decline of 7.3 per cent during 2020-21. The Economic Survey 2021-22 will come in the same value this year. The report reviews India's economic growth in the last financial year, which ends in March and provides a roadmap for the next financial year.
