Govind Maloo, the spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh, has passed away at the age of 67 after suffering a heart attack in Indore. According to a local party official, Maloo experienced a severe heart attack at his residence shortly after dinner on Wednesday night, following his return from Bhopal.

He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav arrived in Indore on Thursday morning to pay his respects at Maloo's final rites. Yadav visited the Regional Park Mukti Dham in the city and laid a wreath on Maloo's body.

Expressing deep sorrow over Maloo's sudden demise, Chief Minister Yadav described him as a valuable asset to the BJP. Yadav reminisced, "I am profoundly saddened by Maloo's untimely passing due to a cardiac arrest. He dutifully fulfilled numerous responsibilities within the BJP. Just the day before yesterday, he was by my side in Dhar, overseeing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election rally."

Vishnu Dutt Sharma, the state president of the BJP, along with Hitanand, the party's state organization general secretary, and other senior leaders, also mourned Maloo's loss. Maloo had previously served as the media in-charge for the BJP's state unit and had held the position of vice-chairman at the State Mineral Development Corporation.
