After the lockdown, the situation is becoming normal. The purchase of gram, lentil, and mustard at minimum support price in Madhya Pradesh will run till July 29. The agriculture department has decided to extend the last date of procurement to June 15. Now the purchase will be made only from farmers called by sending SMS, so that storage can also be made simultaneously. In this case, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel has appealed to the farmers to keep their crops at home. Crops will be purchased from registered farmers.

6 lakh 58 thousand tons of gram have been purchased in the state so far. In lieu of this, farmers have been paid up to 3 thousand 700 crore rupees. In this, one lakh 30 thousand tons of Tiwda mixed gram is purchased. The Agriculture Minister said that procurement has started from May 29, it will be run for 90 days. The last date of 15 June has been increased to 29 July. He said that farmers should not bring grams in the rain. Grams are kept in mandi sheds and godowns. Storage is being arranged further, so wait a bit. In the open season, the product will be called through SMS.

The registration process of farmers for summer moong crop is going to continue till June 25. Minister Kamal Patel has issued necessary guidelines in the joint review meeting of the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation regarding the status of procurement of crops. The Dhar district collector has stopped the purchase since June 6, in which an explanation has been sought from him.
