Kutch: An earthquake of 4.1 magnitude was felt in the Kutch district of Gujarat today i.e. As per the information received, the seismic research institute (ISR) has informed about this. The Seismic Research Institute says its centre was located near Dholavira. On the other hand, district administration officials say, "There are no reports of loss of life and property due to the medium-intensity earthquake.'' In fact, the Gandhinagar-based institute says, "A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck at 12.08 pm on Saturday, 23 km east-southeast of Dholavira in Kutch. It was recorded at a depth of 6.1 kilometres.''

Let me tell you that earlier, there was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in the district on 4th August. In fact, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Kutch district of Gujarat in the evening on August 4, with the epicentre near Rapper. Recently, government officials said, "There was no loss of life and property.'' On the other hand, an ISR official said, "An earthquake of magnitude four on the Richter scale was recorded at 7.14 pm. Its centre was located 25 kilometres west-northwest of Rapper, six kilometres down the ground.''

In addition, the official said, "After the earthquake, tremors of magnitude 2.8 were felt, the epicentre of which was nine kilometres north-northeast of Dudhai in Kutch. The tremors were felt at 8.10 pm.'' Let us also tell you that according to the State Disaster Management Tribunal, Kutch district is located in a very high-risk seismic area and the region was hit by a devastating earthquake in 2001.
