BR Chopra's famous serial Mahabharata is re-telecasted on TV after decades. The saga of Pandavas and Kauravas was well-liked by the public in the 80s and once again it has become a favourite of all. DD channel is bringing back its old serials, the arrival of Mahabharata is also a delight for the audience. However, many actors who have worked in this serial are not alive. While the actors of the serial Ramayana are getting emotional watching their show on TV, there are many such artists of Mahabharata, who have left the world a long time ago.

Dharmesh Tiwari - Kripacharya
Actor Dharmesh Tiwari played the role of Kripacharya in the Mahabharata. He also wrote and directed shows like Mahabharata. He was General Secretary of Cine and TV Artistes Association in 2001 and also President of FWICE i.e. Federation of Western India Cine Employees in 2003. In addition, he also played the character of Jaswant Singh in a show called Prime Minister on ABP News Channel. In 2014, he died due to diabetes. He was 63 years old.

Dara Singh - Hanuman
Actor Dara Singh, who played Hanuman in Ramayana and then Mahabharata, was very famous. He did a great job in not only TV but also in Bollywood films. His famous films include Jab We Met, Kal Ho Na Ho. Apart from acting, Dara Singh was also a director. In 2012, he had a heart attack, after which he was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Doctors had told that his brain was damaged due to lack of blood. On 11 July 2012, he died in his home.

Goga Kapoor- Kansa
Goga Kapoor played the role of Kansa in the serial Mahabharata. Goga Kapoor was one of the famous villains of Bollywood. He played the role of Villain in Amitabh Bachchan's films Toofan and Agneepath. Apart from this, he also worked in films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and Refugee. In 2011, 70-year-old Goga Kapoor said goodbye to the world due to a long illness.

Rajesh Vivek - Ved Vyas
Actor Rajesh Vivek played the role of Ved Vyas in the Mahabharata. Also before this serial, he played the role of Dr Rajendra Prasad in the film Gandhi (1982). After the serial Mahabharata he became popular, Rajesh worked in the TV show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and movies like Lagaan, Swades and Jodha Akbar etc. He died of a heart attack in 2016. He was 66 years old.

Virender Razdan- Vidur
Virender Razdan played Vidur in Mahabharat. He was known for playing the role of Maulana Azad in the 1982 film Gandhi, while he worked in Bollywood films Zanjeer, Aaja Meri Jaan, Yaar Meri Zindagi etc. In the year 2003, at the age of 53, Virender had said goodbye to the world.
