TV's Ram told what he used to do in his childhood

"I was chosen to play Krishna in it. Mahabharata would be telecast before Ramayana. But for some reason, it was delayed. We did not know how much that delay was. I received a lot of regional and Malayalam films. The food that was there did not suit me. I ate a lot there and I had to stay there for 20 days for shooting, so I ate rice too. Currently, when Gajendra returned, he did not know that his life was going to take a new turn. He said about this change, 'I had become fat after eating rice. When I returned, Ravi Chopra said that you are not fit for Krishna's role. He shifted me to Balaram's role. I was comfortable in that role, but I was ready for the role of Krishna, so I refused.

Although those people had chosen someone else to play the role of Krishna and Nitish Bharadwaj was not even named by then, Gajendra further said that when the shooting of Mahabharata started again, Ravi Chopra met him again. Ravi asked him what role are you playing. Gajendra Chauhan told that he was offered the role of Balaram, but he is not happy with it.  Ravi Chopra took a screen test again for his role of Yudhishthira. Gajendra said, 'This screen test was seen by Ravi Chopra, BR Chopra saw it, Dr Rahi Masoom Raza Saheb saw it and finally Pandit Narendra Sharma did it. On August 17, 1988, I was finalized for the role of Yudhishthira. And on 28 October 1988, I started shooting.
