Ujjain: A record was made by lighting 15 lakh 76 thousand diyas simultaneously on the day of Deepawali in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Now Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh has started preparing to break this record. For this, a target has been set to light a total of 21 lakh diyas including Ramghat of Shipra river in Ujjain and other ghats. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also attend the event.
This record will be made in Ujjain on the day of Mahashivratri. On this day, Shiv Jyoti Mahotsav will be celebrated in Ujjain. 21 lakh diyas will be lit during the festival. Preparations for this have started. A total of 20,000 volunteers from Madhya Pradesh are engaged in this festival to register in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In this festival, the help of social organizations, students, traders, public representatives, private institutions, and common people will be taken. The Ujjain city will be illuminated with the light of diyas on the day of Mahashivaratri. The squares and parks of Ujjain will be decorated. Also, live telecast of this entire program will also be done in different places. Ujjain Municipal Corporation has given tenders worth Rs 1 crore 81 lakh for this. Oil, diyas, lights, camphor, matchboxes, etc. will be purchased from this expenditure. Preparations for the festival have started in full swing. The ghats of the Shipra river are being cleaned. Ghats are being washed and cleaned.
