Mumbai: Voters have dealt a big blow to the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the elections held on two seats of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. In fact, BJP candidates have won in Vidarbha's Nagpur and Akola Legislative Council seats. The most important thing is that the number of votes held by the candidates of Maha Vikas Aghadi has also seen a large-scale burglary. Many voters have voted in favor of the BJP candidate. On the other hand, BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Congress's bad defeat in Vidarbha said, "Congress state president Nana Patole should resign taking responsibility."
In the Akola-Washim-Buldana and Nagpur local body elections of the Legislative Council, BJP has defeated MVA by a huge margin. With this, BJP's Vasant Khandelwal won the Akola seat by 110 votes. Khandelwal became a 'joint killer' after defeating Gopi Kishan Bajoria, a three-time Shiv Sena MLA. Khandelwal won by 328 votes in 438. Bajoria was far ahead of its rival with 406 votes from MVA partners, while BJP was at 246. The winning figure is said to have been 412 votes out of 822 elected and nominated representatives. On the other hand, Prakash Ambedkar's deprived Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) was in the lead role in the election with 86 votes. In addition, the number of independents was 77. Chandrashekhar Bawankule won from Nagpur seat by defeating Congress-backed independent candidate Mangesh Deshmukh.
