One such case has come to light from Satara in Maharashtra, which is very surprising. Two employees of a prestigious residential school in Panchgani area of Maharashtra Satara district have been arrested in connection with the alleged physical and sexual harassment of 11 tribal students.

Both the warden showed the children first pornographic films, then sexually abused the children. Giving information about the case, the police said that the students are in the age group of ten to 13 years and had recently escaped from school, which the villagers saw and brought the children to the police. An official of the Panchgani police station said that the students told them that the two wardens of the school showed them porn videos and abused them physically and sexually.

Police said that a student's father had lodged a complaint at the police station, after which two wardens have been arrested. The police officer has stated, ‘We have tried cases under sections 323 (voluntarily injuring), 324 (voluntarily injuring with dangerous weapons or means) of the IPC, 379 (theft) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act.
