Maharashtra Election: Even after not getting an election ticket, this veteran BJP leader filed nomination

Mumbai: There are now three weeks left in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. In such a situation, all the parties are announcing the candidates. Along with the declaration of candidates, rebellion is also taking place in the parties. The ruling BJP has released the list of 125 candidates. In this list, 91 MLAs have been given a second chance. On the other hand, 12 MLAs has been given a ticket. Those who have been ticketed include senior party leaders Eknath Khadse and Prakash Mehta. Eknath Khadse has filled the nomination though the party didn't give him ticket for elections.

Before enrolling, Khadse went to the Nageshwar temple in Muktainagar and offered prayers and from there reached the election office in Tehsil with his supporters. After filing his nomination, BJP leader Eknath Khadse said, "I have filed nomination today. I am not on the list issued by the party. But I cannot rule out the possibility of getting a ticket".

Khadse said that "I do not know whether this seat will go to BJP or to Shiv Sena. I know enough that I have been a loyal soldier of the BJP for the last 42 years. If being loyal to the party is a crime, then yes I am a criminal. He said that since the time of Pramod Mahajan and Gopinath Munde in the last 25 years, I have been a part of the decision-making committee in Maharashtra BJP. I set up tickets for others".
