Pune: Pune police have registered cases against protesters against the latest restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra government amid the covid epidemic. In fact, during the restrictions in Pune, the corona guidelines were violated. A case has been registered against 56 traders on the same charges. An official in the case has informed today i.e. Let me tell all of you that the traders had formed a human chain on Laxmi Road in Pune last Thursday and during that time they demanded that non-essential commodities shops be allowed to operate.
You must be aware that as per the direction of the Government, only essential commodity shops will be allowed to operate and shops will have to be closed till 30th April. Recently, Senior Inspector Sunil Tikole of Vishrambagh police station said, "We have registered a case against Fatehchand Ranka, President, Federation of Trade Association (FTAP), Pune, and 55 other traders."
A case has been registered under Section 188 of the Epidemic Act, Disaster Management Act, Mumbai Police Act, and IPC in the case. Ranka has appealed to traders and other organizations to postpone the decision to open their shops on Friday. He also said that "it has been decided to wait for two days after meetings with police and municipal officials. Whatever the government's decision, all traders will open their shops on Monday.''
