Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced financial assistance for folk artists in the state at this time of corona crisis. In fact, recently, the Uddhav Thackeray government has announced to help folk artists with 5,000 rupees. The decision is said to provide financial assistance to at least 56,000 artists in the state. Let us also tell all of you that this lump sum grant is being given by the State Government so that folk artists can deal with the economic crisis arising out of the epidemic.

In a recent statement, the state government said that hundreds of folk artists, operators, owners, and producers of folk art troupes in the state were facing a huge financial crisis during the Corona era. In view of this, a one-time covid relief grant has been sanctioned to the artists. In addition, the state government has also said, "Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has directed the state cabinet to submit a detailed proposal in this regard. Maharashtra has been battling the Covid-19 epidemic for the last one and a half years. Many artists are facing an economic crisis due to the ban on cultural programs in the state in the wake of the Covid-19 epidemic. Taking cognizance of this, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced financial assistance of 5,000 rupees each to 56,000 artists in the state.''

Let me tell you all that at present there are about 8,000 artists in Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburbs, Thane, and Pune and about 48,000 artists are living in the rest of the state. In such a situation, financial assistance will be provided to all these artists. Rs 5,000 will be provided to each artist. It is said that Rs 28 crore will be spent after the government's decision. Under the information received, artists from about 847 organizations like Shaheeri, Khadigamat, Sangeetbari, Tamasha Phad Full Time, Tamasha Phad-Seasonal, Dashavatar, Natak, Jadipatti, Vidyanatya, Circus, and Touring Talkies will be assisted under this Covid Grant.
