Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. Issues like Maratha reservation and financial assistance for cyclone relief are likely to be discussed during the meeting. Let me also tell you that ncp chief Sharad Pawar had met Thackeray last Monday evening before the meeting. This is Sharad Pawar's second meeting with Uddhav Thackeray in the last 15 days.

On the other hand, Eknath Shinde, a minister in the Maharashtra government, says, "Before meeting Prime Minister Modi, Uddhav Thackeray met Sharad Pawar and spoke on a number of issues including Maratha reservation. Maharashtra CM, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Maratha Reservation Sub Committee Chairman Ashok Chavan will meet Prime Minister Modi. According to reports, the meeting between the Prime Minister and Uddhav Thackeray will be held at 7 LKM at 11 am today.

A month ago, the Supreme Court had struck down the 2018 reservation law on reservation for maratha community in jobs and education in Maharashtra. It can be said by Uddhav Thackeray that 1000 crore rupees should also be given to Maharashtra on the lines of Gujarat to compensate for the damage caused by the storm in the meeting today.
