Mumbai: Assembly elections are proposed in Maharashtra this year. Just before that, the ruling BJP has caused major damage to NCP chief Sharad Pawar's party. In Maharashtra, several Congress and NCP MLAs have resigned from their party on Tuesday. Sources said that all MLAs will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.

All these MLAs have submitted their resignations to the state Assembly Speaker. All the 4 MLAs will join the BJP on July 31. A function will be held at CCI Club in Mumbai. All four MLAs led by CM Fadnavis will join the BJP. Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan has said that more than 50 Congress and NCP MLAs will join the BJP soon.

NCP President Sharad Pawar had said two days ago that the BJP was trying to break his party, which is not good for democracy. However, Sharad Pawar had also said that any leader who is different from his party does not win the election for the second time.  In response, CM Fadnavis had said that Sharad Pawar should focus on his Kunba, instead of blaming.
