Maharashtra, worst hit state of country is slowly recovering it?s dreadful condition. The latest data of coronavirus, on Tuesday recorded 28438 new Covid cases and 679 deaths in the last 24 hours.

With this, the state has registered 5433506 cases and 83777 deaths till date. It has 419727 active cases. A total of 52898 persons also recovered at the same time. Out of the 28438 cases, Mumbai reported less than 1000 cases in the span of 24 hours. The city reported 953 infections and 44 deaths. This is positive response from state, as it is for the first time since March 2 that the city reported less than 1000. On March 2, the financial capital of the country had recorded 849 cases, after which daily infections surged to four digits. However, a considerable decrease in the number of Covid tests has been seen. The BMC?s data showed that 17920 tests were conducted since Monday evening, taking the tally of tests to 5934165. As many as 2258 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the city?s recovery rate is now 93 per cent. The city had witnessed 11,163 new infections as its highest so far.

On Monday, Maharashtra had reported 26,616 new Covid-19 cases, 48,211 recoveries, and 516 deaths.
