Mumbai: The second wave of corona epidemic has severely affected the country. Every day, lakhs of people are getting infected and thousands of deaths are taking place. In the midst of all this, the vaccine seems to be the only support. On the other hand, if there is any fear among the people about the vaccine, that too is a problem. Something similar is being seen in a district of Maharashtra. People in Gadchiroli village under Dhanora tehsil here are avoiding vaccination due to lack of awareness.
Only 40 people above the age of 45 have taken the vaccine here. People here feel that they will die after taking the vaccine. Many elderly people believe that those above the age of 18 will become impotent if they take the vaccine. AYUSH activist Sadashiv Mandawar said that we are trying to make people aware and explain, we took the vaccine and we are absolutely fine, but they say that some other vaccine is being given to frontline workers.
New corona cases in India may have fallen below the 3 lakh benchmark, but the threat still persists. New corona cases have been declining in the country for the past few days, but death figures have been creating tension, as even when the corona was at its peak, death cases were not coming in so much. On Tuesday, 4525 people lost their lives from corona in a day in the country, the highest ever. When the country recorded the highest number of corona cases (4.14 lakh) in the country on May 6, only 3920 people died from corona on that day. However, new corona cases in the country have been falling below three lakh for three consecutive days.
