Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut along with his family has voted in Bhandup, Mumbai, amid the ongoing voting for 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly. After the vote, Sanjay Raut said that if the people of Maharashtra wish, then Aditya Thackeray will become the Chief Minister of the state. During the election, Aditya Thackeray and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, who was contesting for the first time on behalf of Thackeray family in Shiv Sena, voted in Bandra area of Mumbai.

When the media asked Uddhav that till now the voting percentage has been less. What will you appeal to the public? On this, Uddhav Thackeray said that I urge the people to join hands and vote outside the house because this vote is not for you alone but for a bright Maharashtra. When asked, Aditya Thackeray said that do not question me today, just pray for me. Aditya Thackeray is in the election field from Worli assembly. Before voting, he reached the Siddhivinayak temple to worship Bappa.

At the same time, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis along with his wife Amrita and mother Sarita voted in Nagpur. Actors Ritesh Deshmukh, wife Genelia D'Souza and family voted in Latur. Ritesh's brothers Amit and Dheeraj Deshmukh are contesting on the Congress ticket from Latur City and Latur Rural Assembly respectively.
