New Delhi: New Year is close, so everyone must be planning to roam somewhere and party somewhere. If the party is incomplete without alcohol, then people making fake liquor have also started taking advantage of it. The counterfeit liquor black marketers are sending the consignment of fake liquor to the markets. The State Excise Department, while taking action on Kusgaon Tolnaka near Lonavala, recovered a large quantity of spurious liquor. The liquor was loaded into a canister that was being sent from Goa to Maharashtra.
The Excise Department had received information that the consignment of spurious liquor is being carried by road in Maharashtra. On the basis of this, the Excise Department laid a trap to catch them at Kusgaon Tolnaka in Lonavla. After a while, there came a container, which police searched found liquor. When the police investigated the liquor, it turned out to be fake. From this container, the police found more than 2000 boxes of liquor in which the liquor was loaded.
After this, the police arrested the driver and the driver of the container. Both confessed to the police in question that they were bringing it from Goa and had to deliver it to Maharashtra. According to the police, the recovered liquor costs around Rs 47 lakh. Now the police is engaged in further interrogation of both of them.
