Mumbai: At 10 newborn children died due to a fire at the Governmental Hospital in Bhandara, Maharashtra. There is resentment amongst the people after this tragic incident. The parents of the infants who died of fire are not willing to believe that their liver fragments are no longer in the world. All these parents have appointed hospital employees as criminals for negligence. He said that he has not fulfilled his duty properly.
In this case, CM Uddhav Thackeray of the state has ordered an inquiry. Talking about the case, Dr. Pramod Khandate, civil surgeon, District Hospital, informed that 17 infants were kept in the wards of the children. Late Saturday night, a nurse noticed smoke emanating from the ward. After which the accident was found out. The person ran into the ward. But till then 10 newborn babies had succumbed. In this ward, infants who are underweight and are in a very fragile condition were kept. Their weight is also very low.
The nurse first opened the ward door and informed the rest of the people. The Fire Brigade team, who arrived on the spot, rescued seven infants. The remaining 10 infants died due to smoke. Since the death of the children, their families are crying badly. As soon as the incident was reported, there was a gathering of persons outside the hospital.
