Security forces get big success in Gadchiroli, 5 Naxalites including 3 women died in encounter

Gadchiroli: Security forces had a major success in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, bordering Chhattisgarh, after a team of commandos piled five Naxalites, including three women, into the encounter. Giving information, officials said that on Sunday morning, the Naxals attacked the commando team in the thick forests of Gadchiroli, in response to which the security forces retaliated, in which 5 Naxalites died.

Around 4 am, the Naxalites opened fire on a police patrol running a search operation in the forests of Kosami-Kisneli in Dhanora region. An official has said that, "Anti-Naxal (Maoist) Operation C-60 commandos retaliated against the Naxals, after which they fled from the area." Later, the police recovered the bodies of three female and two male Naxalites from the bushes. They are being identified.

This was the first major operation of the security forces this year under the new Superintendent of Police, Gadchiroli, Ankit Goel. There has been no casualty in the security forces in such a big encounter. In recent months, the Maharashtra Police has launched a massive campaign against the Naxalites in this area, in which the Naxalites are being selectively piled up.
