Between the lockdown and the corona transition, the Maharashtra government has spent Rs 100 crore on transportation to transport more than 11 lakh migrant workers to their home states. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Saturday that no central assistance was also awaited for this. He also informed that Covid-19 patients will be given free treatment under the 'Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana' being run in the state.

After reviewing the condition of coronavirus, Deshmukh said, 'The central government had promised to give 85 percent subsidy (on workers' tickets from workers' special trains going out of Maharashtra), but the state government did not wait for financial assistance and spent Rs 100 on the journey of 11 lakh workers.

In his statement, Anil Deshmukh told reporters in Aurangabad that the number of coronavirus detection laboratories in Maharashtra has gone up to 85.
