Mumbai: Maharashtra's Uddhav government has announced free vaccination of people between the ages of 18 and 44 in the state. The Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office informed that the decision was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet held on Wednesday. However, state health minister Rajesh Tope has said that those over the age of 18 may have to wait a little longer for vaccination.

He has said "Vaccination of people between the ages of 18 and 44 will not start from May 1. I appeal to the youth to use the Cowin app, he added. Your vaccination will be done only through registration. There will be no vaccination at the Direct Vaccine Center". Earlier, there were reports that the state could extend lockdown for another 15 days. Restrictions such as lockdown can be imposed in the state from May 1 to May 15. Tell me the mini lockdown is not taking the name of stopping the transition in the state even after it is implemented. In such a situation, the government may now take a more strong stand.

The second wave of coronavirus has created a hue and cry in the country. More than 3 million cases are coming up every day. The emphasis is on vaccination and testing amid rising corona figures. Meanwhile, many experts say the corona peak is coming soon. According to experts, the corona peak will occur in the first week of May and cases will start decreasing.
