The budget session of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is going to start from Monday. Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at his official residence here. A senior leader said that the three have agreed to talk to the Center about the disputed parts of the revised Citizenship Act (CAA), the National Civil Register (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).

In his statement, he said that the meeting held on Sunday at the Chief Minister's official residence 'Varsha' focused on two issues - the implementation of CAA, NPR and NRC in the state and the budget session starting on Monday. The leaders also discussed possible issues to be raised in the budget session. The government of three parties is trying to avoid such issues that would harm the alliance during the budget session.
